We've been excited for Amy and Barry's big day for so long, firstly they are both absolutely gorgeous and secondly it meant a trip to one of our absolute favourite venues, the fabulous Statham Lodge Hotel. We're so very lucky we get to work at Staham so often, the staff are awesome and the grounds offer something different to explore every visit, whoop!
Amy got her stunning Enzoani dress from the awesome girls at Love Bridal Boutique she chose to compliment it perfectly with an amazing pair of shoes from Harriet Wilde, we love, love, LOVE Harriet Wilde shoes, together with Amy's dress they made for a completely gorgeous combination! Add to this flowers from the absolute genius florists at Diddibox then you know you've got one seriously stylish bride.
We joined both Amy and Barry for their morning preparations, where there were lots of laughs and some really touching moments, we never forget how lucky we are as photographers to share these special moments before the serious business of getting married begins! Great to work with Stefan from YSD Media again too whom Amy and Barry had hired to film their special day.
After a lovely relaxed morning it was off to church to make Amy and Barry Mr & Mrs. Amy's gorgeous bridesmaids wore the most beautiful grey jewelled dressed, really unique and complimented the colour scheme for the day perfectly. The men looked seriously smart too in a rich navy with hip flasks tucked away for any moments a little dutch courage was required.
There's something just so special about a church service, the nerves of the Groom as he stands and waits, followed by the thrill of the brides arrival then that gorgeous moment when they see each other for the first time! Total goosebump inducing every time! The joy of watching couples exchange their vows and promise to love each other basically forever is one of our absolute favourite moments of each and every wedding day.
After officially becoming Mr and Mrs Barry and Amy sealed their promises with a kiss, a cheer and a hip hip hooray from us all. Now it was time to head back into the sunshine, throw some confetti and generally have a flipping good party!
Mother Nature was very kind to us and the sun shone throughout the day allowing for drinks on the terrace, live music and also the very welcome addition of a fabulous ice cream stall entertaining guests whilst we got the formal group shots complete. A big shout out goes to one of the absolute cutest and most well behaved pageboys we've ever had, smiled all day and looked pretty darn cute too!
Amy and Barry were an absolute joy to photograph, relaxed, easygoing and utterly gorgeous! We literally could have photographed them all day! They make the most beautiful couple and the love felt for them from their family and friends in attendance was so precious to witness.
The girls from Diddibox had done an awesome job of decorating the main room at Statham Lodge, stylish, classic and totally perfect! Andy and the staff at Statham set to work pouring the fizz ready for the all important speeches, delivered by Amy's Dad, Barry's Dad, Barry and of course his Best Man. Isn't it lovely when a best man delivers a speech that focuses on the true friendship between themselves and the groom, we just love it, any opportunity to tell your mates how much they mean to you gets a bit thumbs up from us!
After the speeches, wedding breakfast and a little time relaxing, the arrival of their evening guests soon began, so before the party really got started we took Amy and Barry outside for a couple of evening shots, after a little exploration at a previous wedding we discovered the former golf course at the rear of Statham is the perfect place to see a hint of the sun setting, and boy do photographers love a good sunset!
Almost all the important parts of the day now done it was time for the final formal bit, the all important first dance, always a special moment and one which once done gives the green light to everyone to get on the dance floor and of course party like a rockstar! Thank you Amy and Barry for such an awesome day, we wish you all the love in the world and many, many happy years together as Man and Wife, mwah!
